MDA Grooves serves up a signature Latin house explosion on Universo Positivo with new single 'Sabrosa' that comes in three different mixes. He’s a Universo Positivo regular with a colourful and Latin-influenced sound. He has dropped plenty of club hits including 'One Good Day' and 'Batucada Lounge' that distil everything from Afro house to salsa, samba to disco while collaborating with authentic talents like Brazilian singer Lilian Vieira and Ghanaian highlife star ‘Sloopy’ Mike Gyamfi. His latest outing once again shows him to be a truly global musical fusionist who uses drum machines, samplers, synths and live instrumentation to bring his sounds alive. He turns up the heat once more here with 'Sabrosa' which has a distinctive blend of Cuban and Miami influences. First comes the ‘Loca Beach Party’ version which has gentle broken beats with a subtle samba skip. Dancing piano keys and steamy sax notes bring a romantic edge while organic percussion and vocal accents help enrich this most sunny sound. The ‘Esta Local Social Club’ version has busier Cuban keys amping up the energy levels while expressive synths and jumbled drums keep the groove moving in a loose, live-sounding fashion. The ‘Loca Hotel Lounge Party’ version closes out with the most direct drums of all, but lashings of South American strings and horns keep things hot. All three of these escapist sounds brim with the unmistakable essence of Latin dance music. This is another standout and summer-ready release from rising artist MDA Grooves.
