MDA Grooves is back with another house journey to faraway destinations.

His Brazuca Chic EP features four magical and sunny escapes MDA Grooves is one of the standout artists of 2026. He is a prolific producer whose every release is like a musical travelogue, rich in global influences, authentic musicianship and stunning instrumentals. His output forms the beating heart of the Universo Positivo label and moves freely between Afro, salsa, disco and cumbia, with percussion as his primary language. He deploys it with the instinct of someone who has lived inside these rhythms and often hooks up with musicians and vocalists from Ghana and Brazil to deepen the effect.

Opener ‘Brazuca Chic’ drifts in with shuffling percussion, whirring organ chords and warm jazz keys that capture the glow of an early-evening session. Rich rhythmic details and understated Latin flourishes give the track an easy mix of romance and movement.

The superb ‘Rio de Janeiro O Ano Inteiro’ raises the energy with bold Afro-Brazilian drums, whistles, bird calls and carnival-ready percussion that effervesce with Portuguese vocals. It's fast-moving, full of colour and will have you reaching for a Caipirinha in no time.

Closer 'Caipira Da Caparica’ folds MPB and salsa into a loose, rolling groove driven by hand percussion and breezy vocal harmonies. A perfect soundtrack for a shimmy on the beach in the baking sun.
